Under The Porch Light

Coat - Topshop
Fur Collar - Oasis
Jeans - Topshop
Jumper - ASOS
Boots - Republic

It's so cold!! It's actually got pretty freezing really quickly...so what better excuse to bring out the big, Winter coat and more faux fur! I haven't actually had a chance to wear my new Pea coat from Topshop yet, it's been way too warm, and this beast is definitely a Winter coat. It is so, so thick and warm, it's almost borderline Yeti, but I absolutely love it! I cannot stand being cold during the Winter and the temperature seriously puts me off doing anything...so I need a pretty warm, thick coat to make things a bit more bearable! I've always been a bit wary of enormous coats like this, being Petite, sometimes bulk really isn't flattering...but I actually think this is ok! And it keeps me warm, so job done, thank you Topshop.

Speaking of keeping warm, here is another faux fur purchase from Oasis! I bought a white faux fur collar from Zara the other week which actually turned up looking a lot bigger than I'd anticipated (albeit very lovely). So I really wanted something that was a bit smaller, and fell in love with this when I saw it in Oasis. It fits perfectly around the neck, or you can wear it over the shoulders if you want and it keeps my neck so warm! It's so nice to pop on with an outfit to liven things up, a bit of faux fur brings a bit of instant glam.

These boots are from Republic from about a million years ago. Ok, I lie, more like four, but I've had them for absolutely ages and barely worn them. I think it's because, they are practical in material (I wouldn't call them smart), but the heel is NOT practical because it's so high. You definitely couldn't do any day to day running around in these boots, they're way too high, so they're much more of a fashion boot...but I can roll with that these days and, having put them on today for the first time in years, I actually think they're pretty great! I will sort out the practicalities later...
