Bright Pink

 Jumper - Zara
Trousers - River Island | Here
Bag - Miss Selfridge
Boots - Faith
Necklace - Accessorize

A nice bright jumper to match my newly uplifted mood! It's pretty rainy and miserable today - so what better way to combat this than with a bright Zara number? This is a jumper from a few years ago, I don't wear it all that often but it's definitely comfy and hides a multitude of sins because it's so baggy! I'm also still in love with my leather look River Island trousers and don't seem to want to wear anything else that the moment. Determined to get my money's worth as always! I haven't worn these platform boots for a while either but discovered them in the back of my wardrobe and thought I'd give them an outing! I hope everyone's had a good week and has a nice weekend planned, I don't know where this week has gone really, seems to have flown!

Grey Days

 Coat - New Look
Top - Zara
Trousers - River Island
Heels - New Look

Just when I'd resigned myself to the fact I'd miserably failed to find ANYTHING in the January sales...I went and found this amazing little Zara top going for half the price online, so obviously, I had to buy! I have a feeling this is going to become my new best friend, it's so comfy, but a great option for smarter occasions! I also have a bit of a thing about pointed court heels at the moment, I can't move especially fast in them, but I'm convinced they make my legs look thinner...or maybe that's just wishful thinking? It's a bit of a grey day today, so I thought grey heels would suit the occasion pretty well! In other news, I've been able to do some work with SpecsPost so take a look here at some of their amazing Petite glasses!

I'll Stay Warm

 Coat - Warehouse
Bag - Oasis
Polo Neck - Amazon
Jeans - Topshop
Boots - Kurt Geiger
Gloves - Osprey

It's so cold!! I can't function too well when I'm freezing so I'll always opt for the warm-coat/gloves ensemble whenever I can. Today's outfit was for my oh-so-exciting day of errand running which included super interesting activities such as renewing my railcard, posting things at the post office and returning unwanted items, plus a load of admin stuff, I seem to be putting off everything at the moment and it's slowly all piling up! I think I need to start making some lists! On the plus side, my lovely Warehouse coat kept me very warm and this Oasis bag is literally perfect for everyday running around, it's so spacious and I can load it up with ever item under the sun. Well, not really, but I'm sure you get what I mean. Hope everyone's having a good Monday, if that's actually possible!?

Clinique Favourites

Clinique Moisture Surge CC Cream - Here
Clinique Redness Solutions - Here
Clinique Lash Power Mascara - Here
Clinique Quickliner forEyes - Here

I'm definitely a huge Clinique fan and always have been, it was the first brand I used when I first started wearing make-up many, many years ago and there are several products in the range which I would hate to have to life without! I've always got on really well with Clinique because I have such sensitive skin - and eyes - but have never had any trouble with reactions/sensitivity with Clinique products. So here are some of my favourites!

Clinique Moisture Surge CC Cream - I really hate thick foundations which feel heavy and horrible on your face, so this is definitely a great product for me. It's just that bit lighter than foundation and it literally glides onto your skin perfectly, it's super soft and smooth, and still gives you pretty great coverage. It comes in a range of shades and I use 'Light Medium' as that suits my skin best. This is a great product for using day-to-day, when you don't want too much on your face and want to achieve that natural, dewy look. You really don't have to use a huge amount of it and a little bit of the product goes a long way, plus it's really easy to build up if you want to - definitely one of my go-to products!

Clinique Redness Solutions - I decided to try this a while ago because I got really fed up of the redness that the sensitivity of my skin often produces. This is a protective base primer that aims to protect the skin from damage, especially if other products are what cause the redness. It's a really soothing, green-tinted product which visually corrects redness and helps to even out skin tone, which is great for when you're applying make-up and want an even finish. I don't use this all the time, only when I feel like my skin is looking particularly red or upset, but honestly it really works, you only need a small amount and it's a great, soothing barrier against all things aggravating!

Clinique Lash Power Mascara - I'm a huge fan of mascara from Clinique, mainly because I have super sensitive eyes and the Clinique products are amongst the few I don't react to. The Lash Power Mascara is an amazing investment, available in either 'Black' or 'Dark Chocolate' shades, I prefer the shade in 'Black' but the 'Dark Chocolate' is a really lovely colour too. It's a seriously resilient mascara and you don't need to go at it for hours trying to layer it up, you just need a few strokes and you can add an amazing colour and lift to the lashes, and it's amazing because it really doesn't smudge easily! It's easy to remove too - I cannot stand mascaras that take years to come off properly -and the lengthening effect it has on your lashes is brilliant.

Clinique Quickliner for Eyes - This has been my go-to eye product for years and years, and not just because it's another product I amazingly don't react to. It's a long-wearing eye pencil available in a range of gorgeous colours, with an eye pencil at one end and unique smudge-tip at the other. The colour is really long lasting and the beauty of this eye pencil is that you can apply your eyeliner, then use the smudge-tip to blend or enhance as you please. It's super handy to have an all-in-one product which is so easy to use and gentle on the eye, I rely on this day-to-day when I don't have much time and it helps me to achieve a subtle, defined eye look which is really easy to touch-up through the day with the smudge-tip. A massively fuss free product which I can't recommend enough!

In The Mist

Polo Neck - Monsoon
Jeans - Topshop
Heels - Faith
Lipstick - MAC

I have been raiding my Mum's closest. I am so resourceful! Well, not really, but I've been hunting for a white, knitted polo neck for AGES and seeing as I've been looking without much success, she very kindly let me borrow hers! I really love it and think I'm going to have quite a bit of difficulty giving it back to her, it's the perfect colour, so warm and slightly baggy on me - which I love! It's so nice to have something spacious but stylish to pull on when you're feeling a bit cold and lazy. This is my favourite kind of look because it's so simple and fuss free, but with the right shoes and jeans you can make it look like you know actually know what you're doing! These heels have literally come in so useful since I spied them in the Faith sale and they are actually pretty comfy...getting a little worn now after so much use but at least they are much loved! Also it was seriously misty this morning so I definitely look like I'm hanging out in a ghost town or something...at least the mist matches my jumper!

Feeling Winter

 Jumper - Jane Norman
Velvet Leggings - Miss Selfridge
Bag - Warehouse

Jane Norman literally used to be my favourite store when I was younger and now I realise I haven't bought anything from there for years! My Mum lent me this top and when she did, I saw it was Jane Norman and remembered how much I used to love their clothes, I used to buy all my going-out dresses from there - so I really need to have a browse around the site. Anyway, brown is not normally a colour I wear and it's a colour I definitely tend to run from, but when I put this on, I just felt so comfy in it! I have always loved the bat-wing style top and it's perfect for days when you want to cover up. I think baggy tops are best worn with tight trousers or leggings, otherwise there is way too much material going on - especially if you're Petite - so I opted for these velvet leggings, and of course some height is needed, so the amazing ASOS Photoshoot Heels are required here, I can't tell you how much I adore these shoes, they are just beautiful!!

Real Techniques Core Collection

I feel like I've been a little slow cottoning onto the Real Techniques Make-Up Brushes...but better late than never I think and these brushes are definitely a revelation! I was lucky enough to get this set as a Christmas present and have been getting to know them a little better ever since. I'm not one to stick to a solid routine so I'm always experimenting with new make-up application techniques, but I've got on really well with these brushes and I think they're here to stay! In this particular set you get your four essentials: the Contour Brush, the Pointed Foundation Brush, the Detailer Brush and the Buffing Brush...so here is what I think!

The Contour Brush - I'm no expert at contouring but this brush definitely helps me out when it comes to applying highlighter and it can really help to create a soft finish, it's perfectly shaped to achieve that sheer finish and I really love it! For me it's an ideal size because it allows you to put on just the right amount...and stops me from over-doing it in terms of coverage! I'm determined to figure out contouring properly, especially after seeing the Kim Kardashion photo...but until then, this contour brush will definitely do!

The Pointed Foundation Brush - This brush is designed to build up coverage slowly with liquid foundation and it definitely works for me when applying my foundation to the key areas. It's quite small, so I could do with it being a bit bigger but it certainly helps smooth foundation on, even if it takes quite a while! It's a really delicate brush though and if you want to build your foundation up and blend then this brush is great to use.

The Detailer Brush - I'm not sure how I've lived without this brush!? It's amazing for use in those hard-to-reach areas and because it's so small and delicate, it's great for touching up problem areas where you just want to work in small amounts. It's perfect for me around my eyes, which I've always had trouble with! This brush can also be used on the lips, which I haven't tried, but can imagine it gives lovely detailed coverage!

The Buffing Brush - I find this is great for finishing things off with my setting powder and it's also brilliant to use with mineral foundation. This is the best brush to use for full coverage and I've always loved using big brushes. I've just started using the Bare Minerals setting powder and so I find this brush is great for apply that to my face after I've finished everything else off.

So all in all definitely a great first set to start me off with Real Techniques and they are all really great to use in their own different ways. For me, I prefer a bigger foundation brush so I have my eye on the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush next...it looks incredible! Let me know how you got on with Real Techniques if you've tried any of their brushes :-)

Royal Blue

 Jacket - JS Millenium
Bag - Accessorize
Jeans - Topshop
Jumper - ASOS
Boots - New Look - Here
Lipstick - MAC Creme Cup

This is my weekend-look, feeling casual and pretty lazy today I have to say! Always a good occasion to bring out my New Look boots, I bought these before Christmas and find they're great for wearing every-day, it's nice to have a pair of boots that I can actually walk in but let me have some height too! The bag, a lovely present from my boyfriend, is perfect for those days where you end up packing half the contents of your bedroom into your handbag, it's so big and spacious inside, which I love in a bag! I can't tell you how much I love Accessorize bags they are literally so pretty! Now, I know theres supposedly some kind of rule about black and blue but I'm choosing to ignore that today, these are my favourite jeans - several years old now - and way too comfy not to wear. Keeping it simple with a white ASOS jumper and faithful jacket also - perfect outfit for slouching around on a Saturday!

3 Shades Of Pink

Jumper - Zara
Jeans - Topshop | Similar Here
Necklace - Oasis
Heels - New Look

Feeling pink today. As you may have noticed! I have a bit of a pastel obsession going on at the moment and decided it was time to bring the pink jeans out again. I'm always a little nervous of them, I know for a fact that my legs look a lot slimmer in darker jeans and trousers...but these are too pretty not to wear sometimes! I bought them a year or so ago from Topshop in the sale, they weren't from the Petite section but they fit me reasonably well, plus Topshop Leigh jeans are so comfy that I'll take that over a bit of extra material around my ankles. Nothing worse than jeans which are too tight! I've said before that I'm not a huge jeans fan and prefer to wear leggings, but this is mainly because I can hardly ever find jeans that fit me properly and they are pretty expensive sometimes! Besides, I'm clearly not going to grow anymore so I may as well wear what I already own!

Embracing the idea of 'colour' I thought, why not put these pink jeans with my pink Zara jumper, which is definitely a favourite of mine, together with a distinctly under-worn necklace from Oasis. See, three shades of pink! I bought the necklace before Christmas and have barely worn it, which is shameful, but I always end up going for black and gold ensembles when I go out and this poor necklace gets neglected. It's so pretty though so I need to start wearing it more. Also, to my great joy, I discovered a bag of shoes I must have 'thrown out' a few years ago, sitting in my parents spare room...and these grey heels were in there! I can't believe I nearly got rid of them, I must have been going through my minimalist phase where everything had to be removed from my room...and neatly distributed elsewhere around the house...but anyway, thank goodness they didn't go because I really like them! Super comfy too!
