Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair

What You Get In The Set

I am the biggest cynic when it comes to new beauty products, especially ones which claim to 'work wonders' and be revolutionary, because having worked in skincare myself, I've learnt how brands can suck you in with a bit of clever marketing. However, the Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair has been catching my eye for a while, because it really looked like a product which could help out with my tired and sad looking skin! After a few months of not sleeping particularly well and a bit of stress here and there, I've really noticed the effects on my skin, it's been so lacking in any kind of life lately that I felt the need for some kind of magic elixir to spark it up! Now, this new product definitely isn't what I would call cheap, so there was no way I was going to buy it without testing it - I found a little tester in a magazine, used it and loved the results  - so I found myself loitering by the Estée Lauder beauty counter, dithering over whether to make the splurge or not. Whilst there though, I discovered the Advanced Night Repair set - for the same price that you would pay for the Advanced Night Repair on it's own, you pay the same amount for this set - which includes a Face and Eye cream, so that made me feel a little better about the spend, my Debenhams points card helped me out massively too! So, here is what I think...

Advanced Night Repair - This is a lovely, light serum designed to repair and revitalise your skin whilst sleeping. You just need a few drops on your skin, a small amount of it really goes away and it literally glides onto your skin like velvet! I honestly think this serum is my saviour - I wake up with my skin looking and feeling beautifully soft, with that lovely dewy look we all lust after and, for the first time in a long time, I actually look like I've slept well! It has helped my tired looking skin massively and eased a lot of the dryness I have, so honestly, it's just like magic. After speaking with the Beauty Consultant whilst buying the product, she told me that - if during the day, your skin looks tired and needs a little pick-me-up, you can brush a small amount of the serum onto your areas of concern to give the skin some life. She also said that a small amount could be mixed in with liquid foundation, to give some glow. So, in all honesty, this is the first product in a long time that I could fully recommend, for me personally, it achieves all the results I want.

Advanced Time Zone Repair, Face Cream - I wasn't looking to buy a Face Cream - the Night Repair was enough to clean me out - but as this came in the set, obviously I was going to try it. I decided to patch test it first - I have very sensitive skin and had a really bad reaction to some cream afew weeks ago, so I was definitely a little hesitant of trying to rock the boat again. But I didn't react and so went on with the experimentation! This is a really lovely face cream, super soft and glides perfectly onto your skin, without feeling too heavy. I have really dry skin, so this is a really luxurious moisturiser and really feels like it's doing some work to soften up the skin! Best applied after the serum and can be applied morning and evening for an instant lift - my skin definitely feels amazing after using this for certain, so a very nice added bonus to my purchase.

Advanced Time Zone Repair, Eye Cream - My eyes are really annoying, they are super sensitive and, lately, really bad for dark circles. I've pretty much tried everything to sort out the dark circles, from creams, gels and concealers and really nothing is getting me the results I want. So, again, I did a patch test with this little sample that I got in the set - just incase - and amazingly didn't react to this either. This is a really lovely cream dabbed on in small amounts, I never put too much around my eyes as it's such a delicate area, but I definitely noticed that the cream helped to make the skin look smoother and a little more lively! I honestly don't think I can afford to get addicted to Estée Lauder products, but my experience with these has been amazing so far - I absolutely love all three, so for me personally, it was a good investment for my desperately needy skin (which is now very happy!)
