Travels

Hello friends! Apologies for my absence over the last week, I took a little trip away on holiday with my boyfriend to Falmouth in Cornwall, where we had an incredible couple of days and - uncharacteristically for me - the whole trip was completely free of the internet and social media (I think we all need a break from it sometimes!) I have to say, we got amazingly lucky with the weather and from Saturday to Monday had three straight days of hot sun!! So, obviously, we spent all our time on the beach. I've never been to Falmouth before, but I was hooked instantly, it's an incredible place with stunning beaches and a timeless atmosphere that sweeps you right into it and makes you literally loose track of your time and your worries...a few days felt like a few months and it was definitely a much needed break! I thought I'd post some pictures of the trip so scroll down for more!

One of the places we stayed in Falmouth was The Townhouse, a seriously stylish boutique hotel and bar right in the centre. We had two amazing nights here, the room was ideal and downstairs was a brilliant bar with the friendliest staff I've ever met! I wouldn't even look anywhere else to stay in Falmouth now I've stayed here and I want to go back already. Breakfast is included in the price of your stay and the food was seriously incredible...it's safe to say I didn't go hungry on this trip!

When we weren't eating, we spent most of our time at the beach! I still can't get over how fantastic the weather was, who needs to go abroad when you can get Falmouth in the sun?! I even managed to get a bit of a tan! We got in a barbecue on the beach too and I also managed to get myself in the sea - admittedly, the sea was freezing, but it was great to get in and have a swim about!

On our way home, we also did a quick stop in Dartmouth, which is a really pretty place! We stayed at a lovely farmhouse B&B and explored the area which was a great way to finish off the trip.

I think it's safe to say that I didn't want to come home after this trip!! It was so nice to have some time to relax in the sun and not have to worry too much about make-up and clothes...as much of a cosmetics & fashion lover as I am, sometimes it's the best thing ever to just drop it for a few days and be casual! It was an amazing few days and I want to do it all over again!
