If there's one thing I love, it's a good cosy knit jumper! This Topshop chunky knit is the latest addition to my wardrobe and it has to be the warmest thing ever. I know Spring is around the corner, or at least that's what we're told, but I thought I'd just grab one last Winter item to keep me warm until the better weather comes :-) Hope everyone is having a good Saturday so far and got the weekend off to a good start...I'm spending some time on the blog, braving the rain for photographs and reading plenty of my book - The Girl On The Train by Paula Hawkins - absolutely loving it and can't put it down, so if you're looking for a great read, try this latest must-read!

Yes, this post is literally dedicated to a single candle...but honestly, I am obsessed! Lily-Flame is my new favourite brand for candles, reed diffusers and room mist sprays, so I felt like I needed to shout about them if you haven't found them alredy. After spying an amazing selection in John Lewis, I've now spent hours on the website browsing the various options and I literally want everything! My first purchase was the Party Time Candle which just smells incredible, plus how pretty is the packaging?! Perfect for adding a pretty touch to your bedroom! They have an amazing range of candle tins which you can easily spy on the website or in John Lewis where they're stocked...next on my list is the Blush Scented Candle and then Coffee Galore. So anyone wanting to buy me candle...you know where to go!

So, if you haven't heard of, or seen, the Boohoo Petite section...you need to go and have a look at it now! I've wanted a pair of ripped boyfriend jeans for ages, but naturally, I've had trouble finding any that fit me. So when I spied these Boohoo Petite extreme ripped boyfriend jeans, I definitely hoped for the best and they do actually fit perfectly. It's still very odd to have a huge hole in your trousers (especially in these Winter months) but I do love the effect, so felt it was worth braving the cold for. I'm in love with the Boohoo Petite section, they keep adding new and gorgeous items and it's definitely really exciting that one of my favourite brands now have a Petite section!
I also wanted to try a sleeveless waistcoat and this one from Boohoo found it's way into my basket whilst online shopping. I definitely can't pull it off like Kendall Jenner but I do love the look, and if you fancy trying it then this one isn't too expensive!
In other news, I've been evacuated from my bedroom due to a much-needed clear out and spring clean...it's a really cold house and we discovered damp on nearly every wall that was hidden by an item of furniture. And in the wardrobe. Absolute nightmare!! So all my clothes, shoes and bags are now sitting in the spare room, my blog photography area is covered in dust sheets and it's all general chaos. So excuse any kerfuffle that this causes on the blog over the next week. The positive outcome though is that is forcing me to go through all my clothes...and I'm going to be started a blog shop! I don't like eBay or depop and so I thought that if I put everything up in one section, if any items take your fancy, you can get in touch and we'll go from there...so watch this space on that!

Hope everyone had a great weekend and enjoyed Valentines Day? I had a really nice weekend, Nick and I had a few things to celebrate so we went for an amazing lunch at a restaurant near where we live in Manningtree called Lucca - I ate far too much, but then how can you not when you're given access to Italian food! Nick also bought me 12 red roses (after winding me up by saying he hadn't got me anything for Valentines Day) so I was pretty happy when I realised that he had actually bothered! We had a really nice evening at a dinner party with friends on Saturday and then, just because, we went back to Lucca for lunch on Sunday. So much food! Absolutely on the diet this week!
It definitely felt a little bit warmer this weekend too (well, slightly) and the sun came out - which leads me on to saying that it definitely feels like we're edging ever closer to Spring! So when I was sent this gorgeous dress from Missi Clothing, from their 'Spring is in the Air' line, I felt like I could see 'sun' at the end of the tunnel, as it were! The Missi Clothing spring range is definitely worth a browse, as you may know I am a huge fan of this brand - they have some lovely pieces which are perfect for the change in weather, some great bits for work, parties or casual too. I really love this particular style of dress because of the plain chiffon top with aztec print skirt - looks like two separate items without all the faff of shirts bunching up when their tucked into a shirt! Have you checked out Missi Clothing yet?

Valentines Day is definitely an occasion to look your best, whether your off out on a date or heading to a party - so the choice of outfit is always key! When I was sent this stunning dress from Hybrid - I didn't need to look any further!! I've always been someone who will opt for a dress in black if I can (definitely makes me feel slimmer), plus I do also prefer long sleeves. So this is honestly like my dream dress. The sequin panel part of the dress is so pretty, it catches the light and shimmers and just adds a gorgeous touch - adding that subtle but necessary dose of glamour. It's also really comfy - you do see some dresses, or try them on, and think oh my god this is the most uncomfortable thing ever - but the material is so soft and clings to your figure perfectly. And as a brand, I've fallen in love with Hybrid, I was so pleased with this dress and have since spent a good few hours browsing the incredible pieces on their website - if you need a party dress or outfit for a special occasion, go straight there!!

I don't know about you, but I absolutely love cocktails! I know they can be pretty lethal - and also pretty expensive - so Nick and I decided to make our own last Saturday, and then I realised that the Cosmopolitan is pretty much the perfect Valentines Day cocktail! It's pink, pretty and tastes amazing. So, whether your staying in this Valentines or want a sneaky cocktail before you head out, this is a great (and quick/easy) cocktail option which I thought I'd show you.
You Will Need
1 x Lime
1 x Orange
Fill your tumbler (or whatever you're going to mix the drink in - it doesn't have to be fancy) with ice. Just make sure whatever you use has some kind of lid so that you can give it a good shake. You can also chill your cocktail glass with it's so it's nice and cold when you have the drink.
Add your Vodka ( 1 1/2 parts) and your Quintreau (1/2 part) into the tumbler - we measured ours out a little more roughly by using the lid of the bottle and, of course, you can add in a little extra of each if you so choose!
Add in your Cranberry juice (we actually bought a carton of Cranberry & Raspberry juice in error - but that actually made it a bit sweeter!) So depending on your preference, you could deviate slightly here. Then squeeze in your lime and give the tumbler a good shake, and a good stir.
The orange peel is supposedly for decoration, this bit didn't go quite to plan - we wanted one of those spiral peels...but that didn't really work! Still, worth a go to see what decoration you can create a bit of orange peel and cocktail stick!
Then finally, pour your drink and voila! I know what I'm drinking this Saturday for sure. If you fancy giving this one a go, you can also check out this page for lots more amazing cocktail ideas!

So the purchase of this gorgeous lilac satchel from River Island last week may possibly have kicked off a new obsession with pastels. How pretty is this lilac knit jumper from Topshop? I almost thought the look might be too lilac...but I think with a pair of black trousers, all is well. Lighter colours are definitely making me feel a little bit more like Spring is in the air and I think jumpers and knitwear in paler, pastel shades can help with the transition into Spring. Having said that, we'll probably get a covering of snow next week, but I can stay optimistic! Hope everyone is having a good week so far.
