Jacket – JS Millenium
Jumper – H & M
Leggings – Topshop
Wellies – The Range
Misty (the family cat) has muscled her way into my photographs once again. Such an attention seeker! Clearly she loves my new camera as much as I do! And with these incredible, golden brown leaves all over the ground, what better excuse is there to take pictures under an enormous a leaf-shedding-tree? Seeing as said tree didn’t topple over in the storm a few weeks ago, I thought it would be good to show it some appreciation. The sun even came out briefly too!
So this is a great, casual outfit for general mooching outdoors (it doesn’t have to be worn with wellies) and fits in nicely with the Autumn/Winter feel in the air! This is probably one of my favourite leather jackets ever, I bought it last year, it’s JS Millenium and I absolutely love it. It’s such a good fit for my shape and it’s just one of those incredible finds when the sleeves are just right and everything works! I haven’t actually worn it for it ages but I have a feeling now that I’ve re-discovered it, I won’t be taking it off! It’s great for the evening if you’re going out and want something to keep you warm…nights out are so, so cold at this time of year!
This stripey jumper from H & M is also another of my favourites. I know people always go on about being wary of horizontal stripes, but it’s actually such a great print that I don’t really mind too much, and I don’t think it matters if you’re wearing a slightly baggy item under a jacket…obviously I wouldn’t wear a horizontal striped skirt. But I really love this jumper, it’s so comfy and fits brilliantly under tighter jackets like this. It’s not super thick material, so doesn’t keep you that warm, but it’s great if you’re wanting to cover up and have a casual day. I think it goes nicely with the Maroon Topshop leggings, I bought them last year but because they are slightly thicker material, they have lasted really well.
The Wellies…well they’re just from The Range a few years ago! I don’t really see the point in spending a loads on fancy Wellies (unless you’re rich enough to, of course, or you go to festivals all year round) Otherwise, the only purpose they really serve is to pick up the mud and grime from off the floor. I live in the country, so it’s permanently muddy everywhere, and you just want a pair of boots that you can go walking in and not worry about messing them up. This pair are perfect because they aren’t hideous…but they weren’t hideously expensive either!
