Outdoor Wanderings: Part One

Happy Thursday! I thought today I’d do a bit more of a lifestyle-type post because I went on a little trip to a pretty place last weekend and, with a new camera and handy boyfriend in-tow (Nick) to take photographs, it seemed like the perfect time to capture some nice scenery snaps!

Coat – Warehouse | Take A Look Here

Jeans – Topshop

Scarf – Topshop

Boots – The Range

I live in Suffolk, definitely not the most happening place in the world, and whilst the shopping is certainly far from amazing, the scenery can be really stunning in some places! We’re quite close to the sea and to some pretty rivers, and whilst I would never have classed myself as an outdoorsy-type girl, having a fabulous camera has certainly made me pay a little more attention to scenery and settings lately!

So we went for a wander along Levington marina (more boat photos to follow) and having been pretty unwell the week before, it was nice to get out in the fresh air! I’d have settled for a trundle around my garden, but Nick made sure we ventured out to somewhere a little more interesting. He’s definitely one of those people who can take something boring and make it amazing, and if it comes to taking good photos or great photos? Well, you can guarantee that his will always be great! We encountered a shooting party cutting through the marina after their shoot (a little random) and they’d all turned up in this enormous van thing, as seen in the photos, and so what better place to pose for pictures than in front said enormous van?

For cold walks and general outdoor ramblings, you definitely need a warm coat – and I’m so in love with this one from Warehouse! I never thought I’d manage to find a Warehouse coat suitable for a Petite, but this one fits amazingly. I do have to roll the sleeves up a little, but I think that adds a nice bit of detail, and the length is perfect for me! Not too long and not too short, in the past I’ve always had to go for shorter coats (the only Petite-safe option), so it’s great to have a coat that’s actually long enough to keep the top of my thighs warm. Team it with a trusty printed scarf and wellies, and you’re all set for a cold Winter walk! This is just the first part of our outdoor adventure, so check back tomorrow for the second part which involves a fur gilet, a few yachts and the most incredible pizza ever!
