Beige Coat – Miss Selfridge Petite
Top – Warehouse
Velvet Leggings – Topshop
Boots – Miss Selfridge
Bag – Miss Selfridge
I feel like this is a very Autumnal outfit! Maybe it’s the leaves all over the ground, or the general colour scheme of my clothing today. I thought it was about time I brought out this beige swing coat from Miss Selfridge…I don’t actually wear it a lot, but I was in the right kind of mood for it today. Beige definitely isn’t a colour I go for often; but I think I bought this for work (a while ago) because I wanted a smart, light coat that I could pull on over dresses/skirts etc. The smart detail is perfect for this, it’s definitely not a coat that you could call scruffy!
What’s great about this coat is that you can wear it two ways. You can either remove the belt and wear it undone, like I’ve done in the first few pictures, and that way show off any detail you have going on with clothes you’re wearing underneath. Or, you can also wear it done up. Thread the belt back through and do up the buttons and it’s a fantastic, figure hugging coat which – if you want to silhouette your figure – is great! I love having items which are flexible and you can wear however you want, mood dependent! It’s a rare Petite coat find really, normally we’re limited to pretty boring, dark coats which aren’t fitted at all, so this is definitely an improvement.
I don’t feel like I’ve done this gorgeous top from Warehouse justice in these photos, so I think I will post on it again in more detail soon! I bought this at the weekend from Warehouse and absolutely love it; the silky, coloured pattern detail on the front is so eye-catching and really Autumnal. It kind of matches the multi coloured leaves outside! A top like this is great for work, evening or casual, you can team it with skirts or trousers as you please, and it’ll just liven up whatever you wear. It’s great to add a splash of colour into Winter outfits and this top does this perfectly. Warehouse never let me down when it comes to tops!
I’m wearing a pair of Velvet leggings from Topshop, you can’t really see the detail unfortunately, but just do you know they are velvet in texture. And, of course, my faithful Miss Selfridge boots. They’re getting a little worn as I’m pretty much wearing them every day, but they are so comfy and easy to wear with pretty much any outfit, the heel is just right for daily running around…seeing as you can’t really go to work or shopping in skyscraper heels!
