I thought I would indulge in Throwback Thursday for the first time, whilst hanging around in a little bit of a blog transition faze! I’m now the very proud owner of a fabulous Canon EOS 600D (never thought I’d say that) but I’ve had to set some time aside to work out all it’s little tricks and wonders, so in the meantime (until my first set of amazing-quality photo’s are ready) I thought I’d do some justice to one of my favourite outfits from the summer. Remember summer? Hard to believe we had all that amazing weather just a few months ago…now it’s all back to grey skies and misery!
This outfit was featured in one of the first blog posts I ever did back in July! Cue the awkward how-on-earth-do-I-pose-for-a-blog-post stance! I do love looking back through my first ever photos – it makes me realise that, even if it’s been baby steps, my attitude to photography has completely changed. Awkward posing isn’t good enough – you need to get interesting, get outside and try new things. But, photo quality aside, this is one of my all time favourite outfits.
The cropped, lace top from Topshop was my buy of the Summer and I absolutely love it. It’s so elegant and perfect for the evening when you want something smart and stylish, but don’t necessarily want to expose your arms or shoulders. Teamed with a black Dorothy Perkins skirt (one of the few skirts out there that actually looks ok on my Petite frame), the black & white combination is a real favourite and a colour scheme that I find really suits me. It’s a really stylish evening outfit and with these great heeled sandals from Next, I felt like this was one of my better outfit combinations. Plus I was super tanned from a holiday to Greece in these photos…and that always helps. A tan with white is a notoriously good look! Take me back to the summer….
