I realised that all my go-to products at the moment are pink…I’m not sure if this is by co-incidence or some inner obsession with pale pink, but I thought I would do a ‘pink’ post on all these favourites of mine! I’ve definitely been very reliant on these over Christmas and, as pink is a colour which I feel suits me quite nicely – especially on the lips – I’d have to say I’m a pretty big advocate for the colour pink! Of course, it helps that the products are all great too.
‘Marshmallow’ All in One Blusher – This is without a doubt my favourite blusher at the moment. What I like about this shade is that it’s light enough to build up as much or as little as you like! A look I really love is that subtle tint of pink on the cheekbones and I think it can definitely soften the face a little. I don’t wear this in the evenings because I prefer to go for more orangey blusher tones, but in the day I use a teeny bit of this and find it makes all the difference to my otherwise pale little face. Obviously don’t go OTT with it or you’ll look like a rosy cheeked clown, but subtly used I couldn’t recommend this enough!
‘Precious Rose’ Eye Shadow Compact – Definitely a favourite eye shadow shade of mine. It’s a lovely light pink and really livens up the eyes. No matter how hard I try I never, ever manage to leave enough time to get ready before I go out – I always make grand plans to try some complicated smokey eye look but every single time I find myself, well, without any time! So I definitely rely on shades like this to help me out with a relatively simple but pretty look when I’m short on time – brush this gently onto the lids for a lovely pink sheen and a quick glowing look!
‘Sweetheart Pink’ Colour Crush Lipstick – I’ve always been a massive fan of pink lipstick as I just think it’s the colour that suits me best on the lips. I do love a good red lip look but get so paranoid about it smudging or rubbing off that I always end up bottling it and going straight back to my faithful pink shades. This Sweetheart Pink is possibly my brightest shade of pink to date, you definitely don’t want to put on too much, but if you apply a light layer it really brightens up those lips a little and gives an instant lift.
‘Sweet Tart’ Nail Varnish – Anyone who reads my blog will know how obsessed I am with Revlon! This has to be my all time favourite colour, I don’t think you can beat a pretty pink nail sometimes and it’s the one I always go to when my imagination fails. It’s a nice bright pink, so really great for the evening or going out. It’s not so subtle for the day or for work, but then that really depends what it is you do and what goes! I love these nail polishes because they glide on so easily, have an effortless shine and really last – slightly pricey for nail varnish, but it’s worth it for the occasional amazing bottle!
