Waking up a few weeks ago and realising it was October was seriously frightening. Whilst I absolutely love Autumn and the October – December period, I just don’t know where the last year has gone! I feel like it’s been one of the quickest years of my life so far and, whilst it’s been busy and packed with all sorts of positive changes, the saddest thing is that I’ve lost my blog a bit in the process.
Work has been so busy, and where I once had the motivation to blog before work, after work and shoot at the weekends, somewhere along the line I just got exhausted with it and life took over. So after a mini-hiatus, a few things have happened lately to make me feel inspired again.
Firstly, the season! Autumn is my favourite time of the year, and I have so much more love for Autumn/Winter fashion than anything else. Coats, boots, knitwear, scarves…it’s the time of year I love fashion (and shopping) the most, so it felt like a good time to get back into the swing of my blog.
I’ve also got so much more interested in photography. I spend hours on Pinterest and browsing my favourite pages on Instagram, playing with my camera and watching tutorials on how to create better pictures…things I never really bothered to put the time or effort into before. So with a bit of inspiration simmering, I better get cracking!
And lastly, I’m spending nearly all my time in London now…which is of course blog-photo-locations galore. The buildings and architecture are just stunning and I love the mix of old, new and quirky. These shots are taken in Canary Wharf where Nick & I took a stroll at the weekend for breakfast and shopping!
